Subject: Unusual
I'm not an aviation buff (and therefore hardly an exhaustive source on the subject) but I've never seen a plane like the one shown in flight here. It does indeed have an experimental feel.

Oddly enough, I think I've seen far more shots of planes flying at altitude than I have of them taking off or landing. For some reason, it's most fascinating to see the plane here just after its takeoff as it floats across the ground.
